Welcome To TCIS
Taejon Christian International School, located in Daejeon, South Korea, is a growing, dynamic, international school community with a rich heritage in Korea going back to 1958. We strongly believe quality international education involves building a diverse community that cares. Our goals at TCIS challenge all school stakeholders to grow holistically in their lives during their time at our school. IB programs and lifelong learning modeled by the educators and parents in our school challenges our students to transfer their classroom, dorm, and home learning experiences to real life situations. TCIS believes that putting learning into practice is fundamental to Christian and international education today.
Quality international education involves the development of personal relationships and partnerships. We now know in education that in order for everyone to reach their maximum potential, we need to collaborate together in the education process. Therefore, TCIS promotes the development of healthy, encouraging relationships throughout our community: student-to-student, student-to-teacher, teacher-to-teacher, teacher-to-parent, and school-to-community. Specifically, our school community actively seeks opportunities to strengthen relationships with our wonderful host city of Daejeon and country of Korea.
We are proud in building a community together that seeks to live by the highest standards of humility and virtue and welcomes and encourages various perspectives and viewpoints. We continue to offer foreign students (this includes students from outside Korea and inside Korea as well as overseas Korean students returning to Korea) the highest quality in Christian international education. Our residence program is exemplary and allows students to stay in Korea and still have a world-class boarding educational experience. Our graduates attend the finest of universities worldwide and our alumni have distinguished themselves internationally and contribute significantly to global leadership.
Welcome to our website, to our community, to TCIS, to Daejeon, and to the “heart” of Korea. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to provide you with more information about our learning community and how we can serve your needs.
