The Adams Residence
Adams Dorm is the middle school dorm at TCIS. It has the capacity to house 32 students. The dormitory is on campus and is located above the school cafeteria. This facility offers two resident assistant apartments and one dorm parent apartment. Currently, Adams Dorm houses both girls and boys and four full time resident staff.
Dorm Parents, Ted and Tiece Adams were former residential assistants at TCIS for the past two years. They were married on August 5, 2006 and have now returned to the boarding program for their 5th year (3rd year as dorm parents). Both are MKs (missionary kids). Ted grew up in Ecuador, South America and Tiece grew up in Ivory Coast, Africa. Both Ted and Tiece received their bachelor’s degrees from Nyack College, NY. Tiece has a bachelor’s in Psychology and Ted has a bachelor’s in Elementary Education/History.
Resident Assistant, Eric George is from Flat Rock, North Carolina, USA. He recently graduated from Columbia International University and holds a bachelor’s degree in both Bible and Communications.
Resident Assistant Laura Shoop was raised in the USA in Acworth, Georgia. She graduated from Carson-Newman College four years ago with a bachelor of music in Music Education. This is her third year as a resident assistant at TCIS.
