The Wegren Residence

The Wegren Dorm is an apartment building that is a short 5 minute walk from the TCIS campus and houses 24 coed students. The dormitory is located very close to several of the TCIS faculty apartment buildings. The facility has apartments with 2 person, 3 person and 4 person rooms. It has ondol (floor) heating and air conditioning in each room. In addition to the student apartments and Dorm Parent housing, the dorm also has a large recreation room with a kitchenette.

Dorm Parents, Dean and Moni Wegren (and their four children- Callie, Hannah, Jack and John) are from North Carolina. Dean is Canadian, but has lived in the United States since marrying Moni. He has a BA in Religious Education from Canadian Bible College. Prior to working for TCIS, Dean was a Youth Pastor for 5 years. Moni has been very involved in ministry serving as Children’s Director and has had the privilege of being a stay at home mom to their four children. They have worked in various ministries relating to both children and teens and love being actively involved in the lives of kids. The Wegren’s joined the TCIS Boarding Staff in 2008 and are well on their way to making Korea home.
