The Student Life Program
TCIS students playing games with children at a orphanage in the community…a group of thirty staff and students hiking through the forest to a remote village in Thailand prepared to work, teach children, build, live in a community without electricity…on campus, a worship band leading an auditorium filled with students praising God… What do these all have in common? They are all opportunities for TCIS students to GROW: to grow in knowledge, to grow in love through experience and service, and to grow in faith through an active relationship with Jesus Christ.
The Student Life Department of TCIS seeks to minister to students and staff by providing opportunities that will challenge students to deepen their faith in God. Ministry opportunities include: weekly chapels, a Praise Team worship ministry, Bible studies, weekend retreats, Mission Trips to the Philippines, Thailand, India and Cambodia, an annual Spiritual Emphasis Week, service educational opportunities at a local orphanage and reform school.

Spiritual Emphasis Week is an exciting and unique time at TCIS. Each school division takes three days away from our normal academic schedule to focus on the importance of knowing God, develop unity and understanding among students and staff, and learn to show God's love through service to our community.
Students spent their days going from our large group chapels, to small group reflection times with their peers and two staff leaders. These small groups of students go through a series of recreation games and challenging physical obstacles in order to build team unity and foster understanding and friendships between students who otherwise may not have the opportunity to get to know each other.
S.E.W. is an exciting time for our TCIS family as we break from our normal routine and learn to grow closer to God and His purpose for our lives.

Centrifuge is a life-changing Christian camping experience for teens entering grade 7-grade 12 graduation. The name is a metaphor for the activity of the week. Youth are mixed together for a fast-paced week of Bible Study, Recreation, and Inspiration; then sent out to return to their own churches and communities with strengthened relationships, new understanding of the Bible, and a deeper relationship with Jesus.
