Admissions Process

Thank you for your interest in applying to TCIS. This introduction is intended to give a basic understanding of the admissions process. When you are ready to begin, simply fill in the online application, and you will be guided through the entire process.

TCIS uses OpenApply to simplify and streamline the admissions process for families. This user-friendly platform allows parents to submit applications, upload documents, schedule appointments, and track progress—all in one place. OpenApply helps ensure a smooth and highly-secure experience from inquiry to enrollment, offering clarity, convenience, and direct communication with our admissions team every step of the way.

 

Application Steps
 

1. Application Form

  • Complete the official application form and the “Consent Form for Personal Information” online.
     
  • You will receive confirmation of receipt of your application, as well as information about taking the next steps.

2. Application Fee

The Application Fee (₩300,000 KRW) must be paid to complete your application. Payment should be made online via bank transfer, and the Refund Policy Agreement must be signed and submitted along with your payment.



3. Testing & Interview

After submitting your application, families can schedule all required testing and interviews directly through the online application portal.

  • K1 (Age 4) – Grade 12: English and Math tests
  • Grades 3 – 12: Writing sample in English
  • Dorm Applicants: Student submit the dormitory questionnaire; after submission, the Residence Life staff will contact you to schedule a Zoom interview
  • English Language Learners: Additional English testing (WIDA) may be required

*All admissions testing will be conducted in person, on campus. Families who are unable to attend in person, due to living abroad, should contact the Admissions Office to discuss alternative arrangements.


4. Submit Documents

Elementary School Applicants

  • School Profile Report: Completed by the homeroom teacher, principal, or counselor
  • Homeroom Teacher Recommendation
  • Past 3 Years of School Records (if applicable)
     

Secondary School Applicants (Grades 6-12)

  • School Profile Report – Completed by homeroom teacher, principal, or counselor
  • English Teacher Recommendation
  • Math Teacher Recommendation
  • Past 3 Years of School Records
  • Official Transcript from the previous school (required for Grades 9–12)



5. Admissions Decision

  • The official announcement date will be published on the school website.
  • Final admission decisions will be communicated to applicants via email.
