At TCIS, we believe that learning isn’t confined to one subject—it’s an interconnected journey. Our recent Project Based Learning (PBL) unit on CO₂ Racing Cars was a shining example of holistic education in action!
Students combined humanities by drawing inspiration from historic vehicles, considered applied math through precise calculations of volume, mass, and area, and explored science by delving into aerodynamics and force. They enhanced their communication skills with visual presentations and brought their ideas to life with innovative design and 3D printing techniques.
The unit culminated in a public exhibition of projects and the BIG EVENT itself – the race!
This interdisciplinary approach not only made the unit incredibly fun but also showed our students how different fields come together to solve real-world challenges. It’s projects like this that empower our learners to think critically, work collaboratively, and see the bigger picture—truly embodying the spirit of a well-rounded, holistic education.
