Gr. 8 PBL Unit Walk-a-thon Fundraiser

Dragon Drop Stories March 5, 2025

An incredible day of walking, learning, and empathy: Our Grade 8 students recently completed a walk-a-thon as part of a Project-Based Learning (PBL) unit, raising 2,256,000 KRW to help a local church provide school supplies for North Korean refugee children.

Combining humanities, research & writing, statistics, physical education, and web/graphic design, students engaged in a deep and fun learning adventure that resulted in so much more than a paper test; it resulted in a life-changing experience.

This hands-on project perfectly embodies our LEARN • LOVE • LEAD motto: they LEARN by applying classroom knowledge in meaningful ways, LOVE by showing empathy and support for those in need, and LEAD by taking the initiative to create positive change in their community.

We couldn’t be prouder of our Grade 8 students for their learning and for making a real difference!
