Special Guest Pottery Instructors

Our Grade 10 students kicked off their pottery lessons with some very special guests!

First, we were happy to welcome back Tavin Ward, a TCIS alumnus. Tavin was renowned during his senior year for his breathtaking pottery exhibition, and it was fantastic to see him come full circle—now sharing his expertise and guiding our students through their first experiences on the pottery wheel! Having an alumni return to the classroom made the experience extra special.  His passion for the craft lit up the room, reminding us all of the lasting bonds our students form with their school and their art. 

We were also thrilled to once again host the talented Ms. Baek Seon Young, a local ceramics artist, who gave an inspiring demonstration on how to create exquisite slab containers. Her artistry sparked creativity in every student as they began shaping their own clay creations.

It was a remarkable start to their pottery journey, one filled with creativity, connection, and inspiration!
