TCIS is seeking to fill postions for the 2021-2022 school year:

TCIS is seeking an Elementary School Principal who is an experienced international school leader, and passionate about growing young people holistically in the invigorating setting of quality international education.

With a budding school of a little under 100 students, PreK–Grade 5, the Board of Trustees is seeking a school leader who is forward-thinking in elementary education and possesses an acute understanding of international education. The successful candidate should be able to identify a strong connection between their own educational philosophy and the TCIS motto of Learn, Love, Lead.

The new Elementary Principal will:

Be characterized by a consistent and evident expression of a Christian Biblical worldview in support of the TCIS mission, purpose, and vision
Be visionary, knowledgeable, progressive, and experienced

The TRA position combines work in the Boarding Care program (60%) and teaching (40%). Full-time positions (3) available for the 2021-22 school year.

The Residence Assistant position involves all facets of students’ life, focusing primarily on promoting and maintaining a family-based approach to residence living. This approach is characterized by providing a safe and caring environment, supporting academic studies, and encouraging students in personal and spiritual growth and development. It also entails being responsible for planning, coordinating and overseeing the day-to-day activities with the respective dormitory in conjunction with another residence assistant and residence managers (i.e. dorm parents).

The TRA teaching component requires teaching two courses. Please note that this is a teaching intern position.

TRA Teaching Component Positions:

Position 1: MYP Design or Visual Arts (Middle/High School)
Position 2: MYP English Language Acquisition

Requirements:

A 4-year college degree and teaching certification is required.
Teaching major/certification and/or experience in Science for Middle or High School is required.
Experience in teaching IB Middle Years Program is preferred but not strictly required.
