Assistant Director of Student Affairs: Secondary School
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, experienced educational leader who is passionate about combining their strong personal Christian faith with proven educational leadership skills and social-emotional care of young people. The successful applicant will work alongside the Director of Student Affairs.
You need to demonstrate in Grades 6-12:
a thorough understanding of the developmental needs of emerging adolescents
an ability to build strong personal, community and team relationships through collaborative leadership
an ability to work with and act from data to support positive academic and social-emotional outcomes for students
success in supporting a positive safe school culture in upholding student code of conduct expectations
an ability to enhance student outcomes with specific and intentional interventions
the ability to facilitate the development and delivery of advisory/homeroom programs with senior school teachers
exceptional communication skills with stakeholders within the school, parents and administration.

with experience/credentials in teaching English Language Acquisition (ELA/ELL/ESL)
A full-time position is open for 2020-2021 SY, beginning at the end of July. Seeking adults passionate about supporting and mentoring young people in an intercultural, faith-based boarding environment and are interested in teaching two classes in an IB Continuum School. Skills in effective time management, experience in working successfully with young people and having the ability to work independently and in a team are essential. Applicants should be practicing Christians who are English-speakers. The Residence Life Assistant works in a team in a dormitory led by Residence Life Managers to create and maintain a family environment, ensuring students are safe and their well-being is nurtured, advocating for and supporting students in their academic potential and promoting and providing opportunities for spiritual development and discipleship.
