This weekend, we held a TCIS Community Cookout on our Techno Valley campus.
Despite a brief, light shower that sent many scurrying for the cafeteria, it was a lovely evening to be outside. We had more than 300 in attendance, and it was so great to see our parents, students, and faculty coming together to enjoy a meal and some outdoor socializing/play.
Admin, faculty, and parent volunteers grilled the meat and sausages, and we had a catered pig roast as well. Students of all ages played games, and after dinner, we had an official "Daddy vs. Children Soccer Game" for elementary students, and "Students vs. Staff" for secondary school – taking place through the sunset and under the stadium lights on our newly resurfaced soccer field.
Speaking of the soccer field, this event was also an opportunity to kick off our advancement program for the year, and we saw many generous donations toward the finalizing of our soccer field resurfacing project. Thank you so much to our donors!
And thank you to all of you who attended. We feel so blessed to be in community with you, and to partner with you for something so important as education. We look forward to our next chance to get together!
