Grade 11 Art & Design Trip

Yesterday afternoon, TCIS Grade 11 Visual Arts students and Design Tech students visited the Daejeon Museum of Art to view a multi-artist, multi-media exhibit.

It was a beautiful and thought-provoking presentation of art on display, and students were inspired! All students went with the purpose of enjoying the exhibition, but they were also there to learn. Students studied and recorded pieces they found particularly interesting, noting subjects, techniques, materials, and the way pieces were displayed/installed. All of these notes and sketches will come back to the school and be used in some way in their own art and designs.

Junior and Senior classes will soon visit the Seoul Museum of Art – another valuable experience to enhance the learning of our young creatives.

It was a great afternoon and a rich opportunity for our artists. We can't wait to see how your work may develop going forward!
