The TCIS high school and middle school choir performs on stage on risers

The TCIS Middle and High School Choirs recently hosted an evening of performances at the Winter Choir Concert.

A number of pieces were performed for the open community by the middle school choir, the high school choir, and the combined choir. As always, it was a rich multicultural study for students and a delightful experience for all.

The creation of music, by anyone, at any age is nothing short of magical. There is something singular though about a choir – the purity of word and voice is so moving. In our school, we spend most every day helping students to learn the power of their words and voices – cultivating them to grow for the good and practical.

It is therefore transcending for an educator to hear students take their powerful voices and create such beauty with them as well.

Sydney Clemens is quoted for saying, "The arts have the role in education of helping children become more like themselves instead of more like everyone else." We love the arts for the richness they bring to our school programs and community but also for what they give to every unique individual.

Thank you, Students, for sharing this beauty with the community.
