Senior Backyard Campout
Dragon Drop Stories September 28, 2022
The senior year of high school is one of the busiest and most exciting -- especially in a high-achieving, international school setting. So much preparation happens as students finish their schooling and apply to universities. As they make this final approach, there are many things in place at TCIS to make the most impact - for the memories as much as university prep.
This past weekend, much of the Senior class gathered together at TCIS to camp on the upper lawn. There were snacks, games, sports, singing, and laughs – and it all took place around the campfire. Tents were there for sleeping, but that didn't happen until late into the night (early into the morning?) for all of the fun and talking. It was another great senior tradition and well enjoyed!
On the first day of school, the College and Career Counseling Office held the "Grade 12 College Kick-off" for students and parents, to share information and start the college processes for the year. Counselors are sponsoring college visits weekly now - on campus and online. The final essay and recommendation letters are well underway, and it all will continue throughout the year... as will the fun and memories.
Make the most of this year, Seniors – in all areas!
