TCIS I-Fest 2023
[International Festival]
Dragon Drop Stories May 16, 2023
Well – what can we say about I-fest 2023? It was a long day full of food, music, games, prizes, performances, friends, community, and fun!
It is easy to list the events, but it is HARD to adequately describe the entire day (and even harder to limit the number of photos to share.) It was an absolutely gorgeous day throughout. Thousands visited our Techno Valley campus, with guests coming from as far away as Seoul! For the most part, though, it was great to welcome so many of our neighbors from all around the cities of Daejeon, Sejong, and Cheongju.
There was so much music, playing, and laughing. We think most people enjoy I-Fest, but the children bring the most excitement to the day – and it is always wonderful to see. The night ended with our annual fireworks show, and it was amazing as usual!
While there is a fantastic planning committee, I-Fest activities are run almost entirely by student groups, faculty sponsors, and parent volunteers. This is, hands down, the largest community event of our year. I-Fest is about celebrating cultural diversity and the connections we enjoy here in our lovely corner of Korea.
As a note of interest, all profits earned during the TCIS I-Fest go toward student club activities, charities, and non-profit groups.
