2022-2023 Major Awards Ceremony

Dragon Drop Stories  May 24, 2023

Congratulations to all our Grades 9-12 Major Awards Winners for the 2022-2023 school year.

The Major Awards ceremony bestows a variety of recognitions on students who have displayed outstanding character and achievement. The program consisted of five sections: Athletic Awards, Departmental (Subject) Awards, Grade Level ESLR Awards for Character, Citizen & Leadership Awards, and the formal presentation of the Valedictorian and Salutatorians for the Class of 2023.

Students are recognized in many ways, consistently throughout the year, and this is a special opportunity to celebrate exceptional achievements. As our Head of School, Mr. Michael Moimoi, put it to the assembly, "Recognition for hard work that leads to excellence is a good and right thing, but it is not the end goal. There are so many who worked hard and did very well, each according to their measure and circumstances. In the end, we do not find our value in awards, which will one day become irrelevant, but we find our value in eternal things."

So, as we finish our revision and head into a time of year-end summative exams, we say congratulations and good luck to all of our Grades 9-11 students. And a special congratulations to our Major Awards Winners!
