Mission & Philosophy

TCIS Mission Statement

"TCIS strives to cultivate internationally-minded learners who lead in purposeful change."

TCIS Motto

LEARN • LOVE • LEAD

School Verse

"I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus"

Our Philosophy

We believe education is more than academics—it’s transformation. At TCIS, students grow in character, faith, and community. We strive to inspire people who don’t just adapt to the world—but help shape it.

What “Learn, Love, Lead” Means Here

  • Learning with Purpose
Students ask questions. They research, reflect, and engage with real-world challenges. Through the IB curriculum, they prepare for global opportunities and lifelong curiosity.

  • Loving with Integrity
More than kindness, it’s compassion in action. We teach respect, empathy, and service—honoring both individual dignity and Christian values, in a diverse community.

  • Leading for Good
Leadership at TCIS is about vision and service. Our students take initiative, show courage, and work to make positive change locally, globally, and in everyday life.

Core Principles

Whole Person Growth – Intellectual curiosity, spiritual foundation, emotional well-being, physical health, and social care.

Character & Integrity – Responsibility, fairness, honesty, and resilience in the face of challenges.

Future-Ready Skills – Creativity, collaboration, cross-cultural understanding, strong communication, and fluency in the design cycle.

Learning Beyond the Classroom – Outdoor education trips, service learning, experiential projects, and a diverse athletics/activities program.

Why It Matters

TCIS is more than a school—it’s a community. We believe the way we live our mission shapes students’ futures. When students feel safe, valued, and inspired, they thrive. And when they thrive, they contribute – to society, to the environment, and to a better, more just world.
