Computer Science Dissecting Activity
Dragon Drop Stories August 29, 2025
In a poignant hands-on experience, our novice computer science students went beyond simply using technology—they explored its very core. By dissecting computers and laptops, they uncovered each component, identified its role, and, as they prepared to write code to drive such systems, they pieced together the intricate system that drives modern life.
This was more than just a science activity. It was a moment of discovery—where curiosity met understanding, and abstract concepts came alive. Students didn’t just see parts of a machine; they grasped the bigger picture of computer processing, gaining insights that spark innovation and prepare them for a world powered by technology.
We believe learning should inspire wonder and equip students for the future. Experiences like this ignite imagination, deepen knowledge, and remind us that the best education happens when students are empowered to take things apart, ask big questions, and truly understand how the world works.
