Dorm Spiritual Retreat 2025
Dragon Drop Stories December 4, 2025

This past weekend, our TCIS boarding community stepped away from the pace of daily routines and entered a quieter, more intentional space during the annual Dorm Spiritual Retreat.
Centered on the theme “Known, Seen, Loved,” students spent the weekend engaging in reflective sessions, open conversations, and uplifting times of worship. Small-group discussions invited honest sharing, while interactive activities helped students think more deeply about identity, belonging, and purpose. Laughter around meal tables, late-night chats with mentors, and moments of peaceful stillness all blended into an atmosphere of warmth and community.
For some, it was an opportunity to grow in their faith. For others, it was a much-needed moment of rest—to breathe, reset, and feel grounded again. Regardless of where each student came from or what they hoped to find, the retreat offered something rare and valuable: space to be still.
Events like this remind us why the TCIS boarding program feels like family. Our dorm staff and volunteers were intentional in creating an environment where every student could feel supported, encouraged, and genuinely cared for.
We are grateful for a weekend that strengthened friendships, encouraged reflection, and reminded our students that they are – always – known, seen, and loved.
