Elementary Library Week

Dragon Drop Stories  April 16, 2026

A joyful Library Week in our Elementary School!

Each morning began with energy and creativity during Morning Meeting, as students dove into fun activities like writing their own silly stories, guessing the mystery teacher reader, solving book cover puzzles, and designing their own unique bookmarks. It was a week full of imagination, laughter, and a growing love for reading.

Our Student Librarians played a huge role in making the week special, leading engaging lunchtime activities, from scavenger hunts to book character quizzes, and creative drawing challenges. Their leadership and enthusiasm helped bring energy to events in such a meaningful way.

The week ended in the best way possible – with our Book Character Dress-Up Parade! Students came dressed as their favorite characters, filling the day with color and fun. (video)

We also extend a heartfelt thank you to our PTA for their generous support of the Learning Commons. Because of their donation, every student was able to choose a new book to take home – a gift that continues to inspire a lifelong love of reading.

Moments like these remind us that at TCIS, learning is joyful, creative, and shared as a community.
