ES Reading Under the Stars

There’s something magical about stories shared under an open sky—and last week, that magic came to life on the TCIS soccer field. 

Our K–6 families gathered for an unforgettable evening of connection, laughter, and literacy during our Reading Under the Stars event. As the sun set and the field lights dimmed, students and parents cozied up in tents and on blankets, reading by flashlight and lantern glow. Before the stories began, the field was alive with play, s’mores, and smiles—a perfect kickoff to an evening that celebrated both imagination and community.

At TCIS, we believe that a love for reading starts with shared moments like this—where stories spark wonder and literacy becomes a joyful, family-centered tradition.
