This past Saturday, our TCIS Elementary families set out on another special monthly weekend adventure—this time exploring the beauty, history, and charm of Korea together.

The day began at the Cheongpung Cultural Heritage Complex, where families stepped back in time, walking through traditional homes and experiencing Korea’s rich history firsthand. It was a chance for both our Korean and foreign families alike to see how people once lived.

From there, the group headed to the Cheongpung Lake Cable Car, where breathtaking 360° views of mountains and water created a shared moment of awe. It was a chance to pause and enjoy the beauty of Korea together as a community.

After lunch, families continued on to Uirimji Reservoir, one of Korea’s oldest reservoirs. The afternoon was filled with simple joys – duck boats on the water, tree climbing, and time spent connecting with one another in a memorable setting.

More than just a day trip, these gatherings reflect what makes TCIS special. They create space for families to build friendships, for students to experience learning beyond the classroom, and for our community to grow stronger together.

Thank you to all the families who joined us! We are already looking forward to the next adventure.
