Grades 9&10 Retreat
Dragon Drop Stories September 8, 2025

To kick off the new academic year, our Grade 9 and 10 students spent two days and one night away together at a special Leadership Retreat. This time away from campus created space for students to focus on both personal growth and community building at the start of an important school year.
The retreat theme, “Leadership: Building From The Ground Up,” guided students through three thoughtful sessions:
- Knowing your baseline – reflecting on personal confidence and discovering a sense of purpose.
- Leading with integrity – exploring what it means to lead authentically in school, relationships, and life.
- Looking for ways to serve – recognizing that true leadership is grounded in service to others.
Beyond the sessions, students enjoyed shared meals, conversations, and activities that deepened friendships and strengthened their class community. This balance of structured learning and informal connection gave them opportunities to reflect on who they are now, who they want to become, and how they can support one another along the way.
As these young leaders step into the year ahead, we are excited to see how they will apply these lessons in their studies, their relationships, and the wider TCIS community—growing as students who are ready to Learn, Love, and Lead.
