Grade 5 Swimming

Dragon Drop Stories  August 14, 2026

People swim in lanes of a bright blue indoor pool, with colorful "Arena" flags hanging above and lush green trees visible through the windows in the background.

On Wednesday afternoon, our Grade 5 students traded the classroom for the pool for a bit as they began this semester’s swimming program. They entered the water, worked with their instructors, and took the first steps toward becoming safer and more confident swimmers.

All Grade 5 students will participate in this program, beginning with essential survival-swimming skills. As their confidence and ability grow, students progress to refining their strokes, technique, and endurance.

The goal extends beyond learning to swim safely. We want students to develop skills they can carry throughout life – enjoying swimming as a way to stay healthy, challenge themselves, and have fun.

Here’s to growing stronger, more confident, and more capable – one lap at a time!
