Learning new skills, taking on challenges, and growing together!

Our Grade 6 Outdoor Education and Activities Retreat introduced students to foundational outdoor skills through hands-on experiences beyond the classroom. As they learned, explored, and worked through activities together, students practiced teamwork, encouraged one another, and discovered what they could accomplish as a group.

The retreat was also an important opportunity to strengthen relationships across the grade. Shared challenges and moments of fun helped students get to know one another more fully and build the trust and sense of belonging that will support them throughout the year.

At TCIS, students are challenged purposefully while being known and supported – and sometimes that growth begins with stepping outside, trying something new, and learning to rely on one another.
